Not too long ago I was looking at AOL’s Men’s Lifestyle channel. At least, I thought I was. Now I can’t find a Men’s Lifestyle Channel on AOL, which is weird because I could swear I saw it. Maybe it only pops up sometimes, like Brigadoon. You know, the mythical Scottish town that magically appears out of nowhere for one day once every hundred years. It’s also a musical by Lerner and Leow, the film version of which starred Gene Kelly and the recently late Syd Charisse.
But whatever I was looking at, whether it was AOL’s mysterious Men’s Lifestyle channel or something else entirely, it’s where I discovered this website, e-MANcipate!! Yes. That’s pantyhose for men, or mantyhose, if you will (you probably won’t though. I wouldn’t).
And well, I’m not normally one to laugh at other people but…well…Ha ha ha ha ha ha! Ha ha ha ha ha! (breath) Hahahahahahahaha! Hahahaha. (wipes eyes) Ha.Ha. Heh heh. Hee!
I’m sorry. And I gotta hand it to these guys and their crusade for love of wearing hose but giggle and snicker. I just don’t think I could ever get down with this. I mean maybe I could date a dude with a thing for stuffing his dingle into silky tights MAYBE – if he was hot like Robert Downey Jr, funny like Steve Martin, sporty like Tony Hawk, could shred like Eddie Van Halen and knew his way around the kitchen like Jamie Oliver (oh, and if I wasn’t married) but even then.
It would probably be less bothersome if he were a crossdresser but just wanting to wear them around with a kicky pair of knickers or culottes? I just don’t know.
The site says “The Project was founded in 2003 to speed up the mainstraiming [sic. I think he means "mainstreaming"] process of male pantyhose, which started in the late 90’s.” Now there’s a movement that is CLEARLY going VERY WELL.
Still, as I said, good for them. I support a man’s right to wear mantyhose in every possible colour and pattern available to him.
EEK! Mantyhouse! Pantyhose make everything smell bad on everyone, Everything! Now cotton or supplex tights, that’s different…
