What? And he does tricks! Really impressive tricks, like jumping over a rottweiller.

I swear, my cats suck. All they do is whine for canned food even though they ALREADY HAVE DISHES FULL OF CANNED FOOD. Lately they have taken to waking me up in the middle of the night to demand food, even though, as I have mentioned, they already have food, food they have liked since they decided they didn’t like the food before it, but have now decided they don’t like. Stupid cats. (Oh God, I hope they don’t read my blog or I’ll pay for that comment later)

Oh, and the skateboard is remote controlled and named Ollie.

It’s Sherlock, The Musical! This needs to go to the stage.  

When I was younger, I really wanted a twin. I was kind of a social misfit and I would read a lot of Sweet Valley High books, you know, about twins Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield (Jessica was the evil twin, but really, she was good, just devious in the innocent way that girls in YA books are devious, which is to say ultimately she had a heart of gold, and they loved each other and were, like, an awesome team) and dream about what it would be like to have a constant, built in companion in the form of a twin.

Well, this photo series, capturing strangers who look like twins, gives me hope that maybe my twin is out there somewhere. We might not be biologically related, but we might look exactly alike, and discover that we have all kinds of things in common, things I always feel are specific to only me, like my rabid love of all things miniature and my weird fear of theft detectors in stores (I’m always afraid I’ve shoplifted and am not aware of it). The bonding!

The project, “Je Ne Suis Pas Un Sosie!!” (“I’m Not A Lookalike!”) by Montreal photographer Francois Brunelle has been circulating for a while. They don’t all look like twins. But a lot of them really do.

This video – which is a bit of a long watch – taught me quite a bit about both lions and hyenas. Did you know that the highest ranking male hyena still ranks below the lowest ranking female? That’s to much of a matriarchy for me. I don’t want women to run everything any more than I want men to run everything. 

On the downside here, I’m guessing this guy is probably pretty stinky after all that rolling around with wild animals. Also, he might have fleas. On the upside, how cool is he? He’s cuddling with them and scritching their chins! I wish I could play with lions and hyenas, and scritch their chins. I’d be the most interesting person at the party. I’m never the most interesting person at the party, dammit.

Also, he’s trying to raise awareness to the fact that all these lovely wildlings are disappearing from Africa. Sad.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: some people have a lot of extra time on their hands. How do they DO IT???

I am so bad at time management. I’m late for everything. I always feel like there aren’t enough hours in a day. I don’t get to exercise or have cool hobbies or take that sommelier course I’ve always wanted to take…or travel…some days I don’t even get to shower.

MEANWHILE, there are people out there poring over Barak Obama speeches to find split second clips so they can put together fake videos of the POTUS singing LMFAO tunes. Or doing this: Recreating Anchorman with their cats.  What? The? Fark? WHO HAS THIS KIND OF TIME??? (The same people who brought us Elf recreated with pugs, apparently.)

I need to go to bed now. I’m exhausted. Happy Caturday in advance.
